THA — THE HONEST ANSWERS
Questions, answered
Is Postava free?
Yes — you can download and use the core timer for free. premium unlocks the full posture experience and analytics.
Can I use the timer without AirPods?
Absolutely. the Pomodoro timer works on its own. posture tracking is the bonus when you've got supported AirPods in.
Does it use my camera?
No. Postava never uses the camera and never records photos or video. posture comes purely from AirPods motion.
Does it track my full posture?
Not quite. it reads your head position relative to your own baseline — not your spine or full body. think of it as a smart nudge, not a medical scan.
Does it work in the background?
Yes — start a session, switch apps, lock your phone. posture tracking keeps going as long as motion data is available.
Which AirPods work?
Postava works with AirPods 3rd gen and up, AirPods Pro, AirPods Max, and Beats Fit Pro.
Does it drain my AirPods battery?
Barely. Postava just reads motion your AirPods already produce — no extra work for them. About the same impact as listening to audio.
What if my AirPods disconnect?
Postava pauses posture readings until they reconnect — it won't show you fake data.
Is this a medical app?
No. Postava isn't a medical device and doesn't diagnose or treat anything. it's here to help you build better habits.
Hi, I'm Danylo
I'm an indie developer. I built Postava because I caught myself slouching for hours without noticing. It just sits in the background while I work and keeps me honest. Building it in the open.
